Our take
I grabbed this PXG 0311 Gen1 9 iron to match my 6 iron from the same line. The shaft is stiff and the +1 inch length gives me confidence on approach shots. The forged face provides a soft feel, typical of PXG. However, as a Gen1 model, it lacks some of the technology in later iterations. For $55, it's a good value for a premium single iron, but keep in mind it's a standalone club.
